Dr. Richard N. Fedorak

Dr. Fedorak is Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. After graduating from University of Alberta, Dr. Fedorak spent his residency at University of Toronto, Toronto General Hospital, and conducted a Gastroenterology Clinical Fellowship at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and a Gastroenterology Research Fellowship at College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York.

Dr. Fedorak is a former President of the Canadian Association of Gastoenterology (1999 – 2000). He currently serves as President, World Congress of Gastroenterology 2005. He is an author of more than 110 peer-reviewed articles, together with many more invited reviews, book chapters, conference proceedings, and abstracts presented at conferences and international symposia held around the world. He has conducted numerous clinical trials at University of Alberta, one of the world’s leading centers of IBD research and treatment.
