In-Licensing Strategy
With a proven and dedicated clinical development team and global reach, Ocera continues to explore in-licensing opportunities to expand its pipeline of products in liver and gastrointestinal diseases. Our focus is primarily therapeutics, but we will also evaluate diagnostics that would compliment and expand the benefit of our compounds to patients, physicians and health plans . We welcome opportunities to discuss possible collaborations. |

Partnering & Licensing
Ocera is developing OCR-002 and AST-120
in varieties of indications with primary focus
on liver diseases.
Partnerships are available for our
pipeline in the following areas:
- OCR-002 for liver cirrhosis and liver failure: OCR-002 is in Phase 2 clinical trial addressing an unmet medical need to treat and prevent hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver cirrhosis and acute liver failure. Ocera will entertain partnering opportunities on OCR-002 to accelerate the development program, either regionally or on global basis. OCR-002 has an orphan drug designation and fast track in the U.S., and will be prescribed by liver disease specialists who treat liver cirrhosis in both hospital and outpatient basis.
- AST-120 for Irritable Bowel Syndrome: Ocera will collaborate with partner(s) to move AST-120 through late stage development. The product is Phase 2b ready in the U.S., and is under CE mark evaluation in the EU. AST-120 has a substantial safety record which is essential for the treatment of chronic symptoms such as IBS. The product also has fast track designation in the U.S.
